Attractions and Investments Around Sergoit Hill

 1. Wildlife Sanctuary

Sergoit Wildlife Sanctuary is a private sanctuary that is run and managed by the Kruger family,  Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) and the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW).  In 1995 the Kruger family established a wildlife Sanctuary at Sergoit Hill and brought in thirteen giraffes. The sanctuary is now home to various wildlife such as the Rothschild Giraffe – one of a priority species in wildlife conservation. Other animals found on the hill include antelopes, duikers, and a large variety of birds.

2. Sergoit Golf and Wildlife Resort

Sergoit Golf and Wildlife Resort is currently setting up a multi-billion shillings tourist resort around Sergoit Hill to boost tourism in Western Kenya. The Resort, which is owned by the Sergoit Holdings, has plans to expand the property to include a PGA style golf course, a five-star hotel offering over two thousand villas, a private hospital for residents, and a facility geared towards shopping.

3. EMO Community Investments Farm

Emo Community Investments farm is a 540 acres farmland that was split out of the Kruger Sergoit farm. Emo has interests in large-scale wheat and dairy farming. However, the farm has experienced continued row over ownership.

4. Jamii Milling Company

Jamii Milling Company has also set up a multi-million milling firm at the foot of Sergoit Hill to process maize and wheat products from the neighboring farmers.
